The summer legislative recess is over and there is still no state budget. The Senate is back this week to work on a stopgap budget. The House is planning on debating those bills next week. Also, the Attorney General’s Office was in Commonwealth Court this week defending their position not to release all of the pornographic emails requested through a Right-to-Know Law filing by the Philadelphia Inquirer. Our guests this week are: Angela Couloumbis, State Government Reporter with the Philadelphia Inquirer;  Steve Esack, Harrisburg Correspondent with the Allentown Morning Call; and Dennis Owens, with ABC-27 WHTM. Hickton, Esq. – United States Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania – provides the stunning details of how cybercrime is being conducted, who is being damaged, and what’s being done – to prosecute those – even in China – who are committing crimes that are costing American industry millions of dollars, in trade secrets and lost jobs.

This Sunday morning at 6:30 a.m., on KDKA-TV’s “The Sunday Business Page” – with KDKA-TV’s Money & Politics Editor Jon Delano:

On this Sunday’s broadcast – the continuing struggle to improve airline service to Pittsburgh International Airport. Porter Airlines announced – this past week – that it is adding daily, non-stop flights between Pittsburgh and Toronto and its Billy Bishop City Airport. However, at the same time, Delta Airlines announced that it will be eliminating a non-stop flight – between Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. We’ll talk with the Chief Operating Officer for the Allegheny County Airport Authority – James Gill – about what’s being done, to keep pace, and get ahead of the game, on this issue.

Then, what the Federal Reserve DIDN’T do – that’s keeping investors guessing, about interest rates, and investments. PNC Financial Group’s Senior Macroeconomist and Senior Vice-President – Augustine “Gus” Faucher, Ph.D. – will share his thoughts, with us.

Finally, we’ll preview  a new initiative, to introduce girl students to science and technology – as a profession. KDKA-TV is joining forces with the Carnegie Science Center – to present a two-day event – October 3rd – 4th — called “Girls Rock Science”! We’ll ask Williams Company’s (an energy pipeline firm) Vice-President and General Manager for Pennsylvania and New York – Ryan Savage – and Candyce Fly Lee, P.E.,PME – Director of Pipeline Products, for Williams – about this event at the Science Center, and how students can meet women who are working in this growing and exciting field.
