The two candidates for the 10th Congressional District seat will meet on the debate stage in two weeks.
Six-term incumbent Rep. Scott Perry and Democratic opponent Janelle Stelson have agreed to a 60-minute debate on Tuesday, October 8, beginning at 7 p.m.at the studios of WHTM-TV in Harrisburg.
The debate will be moderated by abc27 News anchor Dennis Owens, who will pose questions to the candidates focused on current local and regional issues impacting the 10th Congressional District.
Perry is facing stiff challenge from Stelson, a former broadcast journalist, who is receiving support from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) through its “Red-to-Blue” program.
The Cook Political Report rates the PA-10 race as “Lean Republican,” meaning the race is considered competitive, but one party has an advantage.
There are just under 530,000 voters in the central Pennsylvania district comprising Cumberland, Dauphin and York counties.
Ironically, October 8 is the birth date for both candidates.
