HD-92: Almoney Announces Another Run

Dan Almoney, a communications professional, has announced that he intends to run again for the 92th state House seat.
The Newberry Township activist ran an unsuccessful campaign in 2022 as a Democrat against Republican Dawn Keefer (R-York), falling by a resounding margin.
He said he challenged Keefer last fall when it became apparent that no one was willing to stand up and challenge the incumbent representative. “Democracy doesn’t work if you don’t have a choice.”
He is hopeful that his experience in his first political campaign will aid the 45-year-old during a second run.
“What I found talking to people across the district last year was that many of my neighbors have the same concerns regardless of their political affiliation,” Almoney said. “They’re worried about their jobs, their families and their future and that can look different for each individual.”
Almoney has been a vocal critic of Keefer and her support of school vouchers.
1. Vouchers are a scam.
2. Her party systematically cut funding from PA public schools over the course of decades.
3. She’s been bought by PA billionaire Jeff Yass and his personal anti-public school agenda. pic.twitter.com/kYvLofddWq— Dan Almoney (@DanForPa92) September 7, 2023
“Unfortunately, there are big problems that our commonwealth and community continues to face,” he said. “These problems will not be solved by culture wars and political divides. It will take hard work and it starts in Harrisburg.”
The district covers part of northern York County. It consists of Dillsburg, Franklintown, Goldsboro, Lewisberry, Wellsville and York Haven boroughs as well as Carroll, Dover (District 02), Fairview, Franklin, Monaghan, Newberry, Warrington and Washington townships.
