As the transition to assuming the position of Pennsylvania’s Attorney General draws closer, Dave Sunday has announced the leadership of his transition committee.

The committee will be charged with advising Sunday as he prepares to take office in January. A full transition team will be announced in the coming weeks.

“Over the last two weeks, I have appreciated the counsel of Attorney General Michelle Henry, Governor Josh Shapiro and former Governor Tom Corbett who, as previous trustees of this office, have offered their insights to leading the office of Attorney General,” said Sunday in a statement. “Today, I am pleased to announce the team that will lead my transition into the office of Attorney General. During the course of my campaign, I have relied on these individuals for their advice and support. I will benefit from their experience as I prepare to lead this office.”

Kyle King, the chief administrator for Sunday in the York County District Attorney’s office, has been appointed chief of staff.

“For the past 18 years, Kyle has managed the York County District Attorney’s office, one of the largest district attorney’s offices in the Commonwealth,” said Sunday. “Kyle is one of the smartest, most dependable administrators I have ever worked with. He is a dedicated public servant and has helped our Commonwealth fight the opioid epidemic as the Chair of the York Opioid Collaborative. I am thrilled that he will be coming with me to the Attorney General’s office as chief of staff.”

Other members of the transition leadership include:

  • Bob Asher, co-chair
  • Tom Corbett, co-chair
  • Liz Preate Havey, co-chair
  • John Verbanac, co-chair
