The PA-12 congressional race continues to be an exchange of charges over China. Monday, the National Republican Congressional Committee hit Rep. Mark Critz over another commercial which was aired – then edited – by Democrats.
“Her political committee made up stories about Keith Rothfus and put them in a TV ad. News reports say Pelosi’s group had to back down and take their blatantly false ad for Critz off the air,” says an announcer, citing this PoliticsPA story.
“The truth? China’s only connection to this race is the billions we have to borrow from them, to pay for the wasteful spending of Pelosi and Critz.”
Rep. Mark Critz (D-Cambria) faces Allegheny County attorney Keith Rothfus in Pa.’s top congressional race in 2012.
Critz’s campaign was quick to retaliate. Spokesman Mike Mikus said, “Critz has opposed every unfair trade deal that would lead to more outsourcing, while Rothfus is on the record supporting unfair trade deals that ship jobs overseas.”
China and outsourcing have been a major issue in the race thus far and have been featured in nearly every television ad from both candidates and a variety of outside groups.
“Rothfus also has been endorsed by FreedomWorks and the Club for Growth, wealthy special interests that advocate for allowing China to manipulate its currency even though it puts companies here at a competitive disadvantage and kills American jobs,” Mikus continued.

Foul language for no good reason. You can’t make your point without the anger? You think the ninth grade bully act changes anything? This SHOW is over…see how easy that was? Even in the North Hills there are lots of Republicans who can make a political observation without the verbal hissy fit. Sounds like you are upset that it is all slipping away . It’s ironic that Democrats always have the first comment on Critz-Rothfus videos. It wouldn’t be because Keegan’s best buddy works on the Critz campaign would it? Hmmm. Critz is in big trouble in North Hills of Allegheny that just voted 75 percent for Randy Vulakovich. This shit is over
Keith is proud of being endorsed by the Chamber and the Club for Growth. Those organizations masterminded the trade policy to make outsourcing American jobs profitable. They also were behind the tax provision that has the US taxpayer provide companies cash to their bottom line for each job shipped overseas to China. That is why the ad never mentions Keith being opposed to the Chamber’s free trade policy or its corporate tax breaks for outsourcing. He will support both when he takes his seat in Congress.
