The world is coming to the City of Brotherly Love.

FIFA announced Thursday that Philadelphia will serve as one of the host cities for the 2026 World Cup.

For the first time, a continent will host the world’s largest sporting event as the United States, Canada and Mexico will all host matches.

Other U.S. hosts include Atlanta (Mercedes-Benz Stadium), Boston (Gillette Stadium), Dallas (AT&T Stadium), Houston (NRG Stadium), Kansas City (Arrowhead Stadium), Los Angeles (SoFi Stadium), Miami (Hard Rock Stadium), New York/New Jersey (MetLife Stadium), San Francisco (Levi’s Stadium), and Seattle (Lumen Field).

Toronto and Vancouver will serve as Canadian hosts, while Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey will welcome the world to Mexico.

Philadelphia Soccer 2026 is estimating that 450,000 fans will flock to the area with spending in the range of $147-$262 million.
