Tiny TV Buy in Quiet Pa-11 Primary (Watch Video)

Wilkes-Barre attorney Bill Vinsko will be the only candidate on TV in the Democratic primary for PA-11, but only just. He’ll air a few ads on Sunday as he seeks to best activist Gene Stilp and face Rep. Lou Barletta in the primary.

The basic bio spot will air on local news shows on Sunday, possibly more depending on last-minute fundraising.

So far, the race been quiet – a battle for name ID. The candidates have sent out a few mail pieces between them, and Stilp has cruised the highway in his pig-shaped bus.

The district, which was reshaped to protect Barletta, stretches from Shippensburg in southcentral Pa. to Wyoming County in northeast Pa.

Vinsko had $31,262.78 at the end of the quarter, Stilp’s report has yet to be received by the FEC (he says it was sent in), but he says he’s raised just under $25,000.
