Toomey Praises PA Company that Helped to Free Chilean Miners

Allentown –U.S. Senate candidate and former small business owner Pat Toomey praised the Pennsylvania company, Center Rock, Inc., that helped free the Chilean miners. 

When news of the incident first broke in August, the owners and workers of the Somerset County-based Center Rock Inc. offered their specialized equipment and services to the Chilean government.  Over the past 37 days members of Center Rock, Inc. worked through harsh conditions to drill a 2,000-foot hole that would result in the miners’ rescue. 

“I want to extend my admiration and respect to the owner and workers of Center Rock, Inc. who volunteered their time, company, and determination to help the Chilean miners,” Pat Toomey said.  “It is the hard work, can-do spirit, and innovation of companies like Center Rock that make our state great.”
