Trafalgar Poll: Oz Still Holds Lead

Dr. Mehmet Oz

The Trafalgar Group released its final Pennsylvania primary poll overnight and Mehmet Oz continues to hold onto the lead in the chase for the GOP nomination for the U.S. Senate.

The celebrity doctor pulled in 28.5 percent of the 1,195 likely Republican voters, while conservative commentator Kathy Barnette was second at 26.8. Former hedge fund CEO Dave McCormick was third at 21.6 percent, while Carla Sands and Jeff Bartos were well off the pace at 7.1 and 6.7 percent, respectively.

Oz and Barnette were the choices of the undecideds, as they picked up 4.0 and 3.6 percentage points, respectively, since the last Trafalgar poll conducted May 6-8. McCormick held steady as the undecideds fell from 15.1 to 5.5 percent.

In the PoliticsPA moving average of 15 polls since February, Oz has stretched his lead to 0.9 points overall.

One Response

  1. It appears while Oz enjoys high name ID, Barnette continues to receive a larger share of undecideds and McCormick is losing support. Barnette may just sneak by Oz before the clock strikes midnight and we may not know until Wednesday.
