Trivedi Makes House Calls

Dem candidate Manan Trivedi speaks to voters at the home of a supporter.

The doctor is in.

Congress hopeful Dr. Manan Trivedi is now incorporating “house calls” into his campaign strategy.

Though Trivedi works as a primary care physician at Reading Hospital, these house calls don’t involve medicine.

These personal visits are actually town-hall style meetings conducted in the homes of voters across PA-06, during which Trivedi addresses important contemporary issues including jobs, the economy, health care and education.

Trivedi led the first meeting, in what will be a series of constituent meetings, Tuesday evening in the home of Carole and Harlan Kutsher in Exeter, Pa. A total of 51 residents attended the event.

According to a press release from the Trivedi For Congress Campaign, Manan answered questions about Medicare, the Romney-Ryan ticket, taxes and cost-cutting measures to make health care more affordable among other issues. The series is being called “House Meetings with Dr. Manan Trivedi.”

Vince Galko, senior adviser to incumbent Rep. Jim Gerlach (R-Chester), said “Congressman Gerlach has always made himself available to his constituents through town halls, tele-town halls, public meetings, local tours and various other venues. He will continue to do so.”
