Trump Postpones Campaign Rally After Florida Shooting

President Donald Trump’s campaign wing announced they are postponing the rally planned for next week in Ambridge after the Florida shooting this week.

“This decision was reached out of respect and sympathy for the victims and survivors of the high school shooting attack in Parkland, Florida, and their family members.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by this horrific tragedy,” Trump’s campaign said in a release according to the Tribune Review.

The event was scheduled for February 21st and would have been Trump’s second visit to the 18th Congressional district ahead of the March special election. His previous visit was an official visit rather than a campaign one.  Ahead of that visit, Trump tweeted out his support of Republican Rick Saccone, who is running against Democrat Conor Lamb for the seat.

  1. I wish that the reason for the cancellation was out of actual compassion. It’s not. Parkland, Florida and the rest of the country needs real compassion from a real leader, not a bully, at times like these.

  2. It didn’t stop him from going to a disco party at his palace in Palm Beach right after leaving the sheriff and physicians who treated victims.
Or from obsessive tweeting and insulting the universe as unhinged as ever.
He’s especially triggered by California Dem. Rep Adam Schiff, whom aides confide he fears most. Schiff is a former prosecutor and active on the House Intel Committee. He’s unflappable.
Truth is, if clues were shoes, Trump would be barefoot.
A recent look at all presidents by historians in a new survey has Trump last, and Obama’s moved up to #8.

  3. No way. really another low for Trump using that tragedy as an excuse not to come in because he knows it is going down the drain. Put the Trump cancellation together with the Mommouth poll and you see that seat is going Dem.
