Trump Targets Lamb On Twitter

President Donald Trump has sent out tweets on back to back days targeting Rep. Conor Lamb (D-Allegheny), while falsely claiming that he voted for Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for Speaker of the House.

On Tuesday morning, Trump tweeted that Sean Parnell, a combat veteran and conservative author endorsed by Trump as the Republican candidate running in the 17th Congressional District, was an “America Hero,” while calling Lamb, a veteran, an “American fraud, and a puppet for Crazy Nancy Pelosi.”

“Sean Parnell is an American Hero. Conor Lamb has proven to be an American fraud, and a puppet for Crazy Nancy Pelosi. He said he would NOT vote for her for Speaker, and did. Will kill 2A. Voted to impeach (on nothing). A TOTAL & COMPLETE Sean Parnell Endorsement!,” Trump wrote in the tweet.

Trump shared a nearly identical message on Monday, but incorrectly spelled the Congressman’s name as “Connor Lamm.” That tweet from Monday has since been deleted by Trump.

Lamb responded on Twitter, Monday with a screenshot of Parnell retweeting Trump’s message, saying that those trying to beat him “have been lying about my record since the day I became a candidate.”

“These people have been lying about my record since the day I became a candidate. It hasn’t stopped, and it won’t stop, until we beat them at the ballot box in November,” Lamb tweeted on Monday afternoon.

Lamb was the lone Pennsylvania Democrat to not vote for Pelosi for Speaker in November 2018 and issued his support for Rep. Joe Kennedy III (D-MA)

Trump has taken a particular interest in the 17th Congressional race. Trump first endorsed Parnell in December 2019 when there were three candidates seeking the GOP nomination for the seat. Trump also mentioned Parnell by name during Trump’s most recent visit to the state earlier this month when speaking at a medical equipment distribution center in the Lehigh Valley.

Trump sent out multiple tweets on Friday night issuing support for challengers Parnell, Lisa Scheller for the 7th Congressional District, and the following Republican Congressional incumbents in Pennsylvania: Reps. John Joyce (R-Blair), Fred Keller (R-Snyder), Mike Kelly (R-Butler), Dan Meuser (R-Luzerne), Scott Perry (R-York), Guy Reschenthaler (R-Allegheny), Lloyd Smucker (R-Lancaster), and G.T. Thompson (R-Centre). Notably missing from Trump’s tweeted endorsements on Friday night for congressional races in the state was Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Bucks), while also withholding from an endorsement in the crowded GOP primary for the 8th Congressional District.

  1. Another among the thousands of lies Trump has told. It is the ultimate sign of disrespect to have someone brazenly lie to you. This is how low an opinion he has of the American people.

  2. Problem with these Trump doubters is they don’t drink the Trump Kool-Ade! It’s delicious and refreshing. Goes down easy and comes in grape, orange, cherry and a favorite amongst Trumptards, Jim Jines flavored. Trump Kool-Ade is available at all major grocery chains and can be found in the “suppository” section.

      1. Clorox chewables and flavored Lysol are sold in the feminine hygiene section.

  3. How come the President never gets called out on his lying?

Biden makes a small gaffe and it becomes national news. Trump lied dozens of times this weekend, and tweeted out false conspiracy theories, and the media plays both sides.

When is the media, and politics PA going to call out Trump? Trump’s tweets are straight up false. No fact checking goes on in these articles.

Trump is unhinged. And the media, including Politics PA, lets him get away with it.

    1. How about when he thought the Kansas City Chiefs were from the state of Kansas? People trust this guy with the nuclear codes??!!

    2. Happy to get a shout-out from cadet bonespurs? I guees fat Donnie didn’t have to shit his pants for a deferment like his pal Ted Nugent.

    3. It would be news if Trump told the truth.

Reporting that Trump lied is like reporting the Sun rose in the East.

  4. A negative Trump tweet is more than enough reason to vote for Conor Lamb over any sadsack GOP loser.
