President Donald Trump is scheduled to hold a campaign rally in Ambridge later this month, likely to support state Rep. Rick Saccone’s campaign for the special election in the 18th Congressional district.
According to Trump’s campaign website, the event will take place on February 21st at 7 p.m. at the Ambridge Area Senior High School.
The Post-Gazette reports that the announcement of the event does not mention Saccone’s campaign.
Trump was in western Pennsylvania earlier this month to tout the tax reform bill, but tweeted out his support for Saccone ahead of the visit and spent part of his speech voicing his support for Saccone in next month’s special election.
Campaign staffers told the Post-Gazette that Trump plans to discuss tax reform among other policies at the speech.

The Republican President’s endorsement doesn’t have a great track record: he even managed to back two candidates who lost in the same race. Interesting that he is making two visits for just one special election in a district he won by 20 points. That is going to look pretty bad if Saccone doesn’t win by double digits, and it is going to look downright awful if he can’t pull it off after spending all that money and political capital.
Time to create a real news diversion for a few days.
Thankfully the orange turd is not coming anywhere close to SEPA. We would run him out of town.
Great man is president trump you be grateful…
He doesn’t have a map and he doesn’t have a clue either.
Does he have a map? Ambridge isn’t in the 18th.
That might be the closest place to rent a building. Simple as that.
