Val DiGiorgio is definitely the favorite to be the next Chair of the Pennsylvania Republican Party.
The Chester County Chair already had the support of Senator Pat Toomey, State Senate Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati and State Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman.
DiGiorgio is now touting the support of State House Speaker Mike Turzai and State House Majority Leader Dave Reed.
We are writing you today to discuss the crucial decision ahead of you this February,” they write in a letter to party members. “Val DiGiorgio and Lawrence Tabas are good men and dedicated servants to our party. We deeply appreciate the great work they both have done.”
“One of the candidates, though, stands out in our view,” they conclude. “That man is Val DiGiorgio. We need him as our next chairman.”
General Counsel Lawrence Tabas is also running to replace departing Chair Rob Gleason.

Most of these comments reflect the lack of real political experience and foresight and yes in so cases sheer nasty stupidityand bigotry. We’re any of you around for the forced endorsement of Obama/Sestak supporterWelsh as GOP candidate for US Senate in 2012? Tabas, legal counsel for the party willingly participated in the outrageous actions of this event. I am sure he made his law partner and Casey chairman happy. How can any one justify Tabas contributions to democrats and democrat pacs? Has anyone ever determine how much he and his firm have billed the PA GOP?

Looks like sleazy Corman got his way. Val got all his sheep to commit to voting for Mundy and Olson is going to drop out of the race. This is so corrupt. Olson is head and shoulders above Mundy. This is WHY THEY WANT VAL – so they can control the party. Wake up committee people. Please stop this corruption and vote for Tabas.
I can’t understand why not Andy Riely from Delco he had some extremely difficult races with some really good competition. He Survived with only losing 1 race. Which was a to close to call, Plus possible having Paddy Meehan run against Casey. The GOP going to need help to overcome Dems favorite son Bob Casey. Val running around with an Irishmen not going to fly very well.

If you think Val did anything to help Donald Trump, you are out of your mind and I hope that you get the help you need once obamacare gets repealed and replaced.
Now hold on a second regarding Rafferty. Val was one of the few leaders that paid any attention to the Rafferty campaign. Rafferty ran a horrendous campaign and had no strategy. That isn’t Val’s fault. Val stepped up and did everything he could do to help him even when most in the state Republican leadership made the decision to write off Rafferty. Look, neither candidate is perfect but you can’t pin the blame for Rafferty’s lack of a campaign on Val.
Wow, the fear of losing their jobs has the Gleasonites churning our crap in double-time today. FWIW, I’ve seen Val debate Shapiro at some public forum before. There’s no love lost between those two.

Val worked against Donald Trump in Chester County. When he got opposition, he purged them. Do we really need that in our State Committee? I don’t think so.
Yeah, that would be a disgrace if Mundy gets endorsed over Olson. There is no comparison between these two. I can’t believe the Central Caucus voted her way. I guess the calls from Corman made some committee people feel important. Sad, sad.
Watch how this affects the Supreme Court judicial race == Corman gets kickbacks from Mundy because he got Mundy appointed by Wolfe == Corman supports Val who has total control over the Southeast Caucus == Val instructs his sheep to endorse Mundy because now he owes Corman! Welcome to politics! Sit back and watch how the corrupt GOP operates.
What a scam! It’s no wonder why PA ranks as one of the highest for corruption. Look at what is happening right before our eyes. Committee members have a chance to stop it…but will they? Val is panicking after his email blunder about the Central Caucus. That cost him 100 votes.
