UFCW 1776 Endorses Shapiro

Josh ShapiroJosh Shapiro won another endorsement today.

The Montgomery County Commissioner and Democratic candidate for Attorney General is being supported by the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1776.

“Josh has always stood up for working Pennsylvanians and we know he’ll fight for us as Attorney General,” said UFCW 1776 President Wendell Young IV. “From firing the Wall Street money managers that were ripping off retirees to leading the fight for reform in Harrisburg, Josh has successfully fought the status quo to protect Pennsylvanians and that’s what we need in our next Attorney General. Josh will restore integrity to our system so that everyone can be sure they are getting a fair shake.”

“The big drillers and the telemarketing scammers that fleece our seniors have their lawyers – it’s time the people of Pennsylvania had an advocate too,” Shapiro said. “Throughout my career, I’ve been unapologetic about the need for progressive reform, and as Attorney General I’ll crack down on businesses that rip off their employees and discrimination in the workplace so working men and women across our commonwealth are treated fairly.”

Shapiro is running against Allegheny County DA Stephen Zappala and Northampton DA John Morganelli in the Democratic primary. The election is set for April 26th.
