Accepted.
Ohio Sen. JD Vance said on Thursday that he has accepted an invitation from CBS News for a vice presidential debate on October 1.
Earlier in the week, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said that he had said yes to the invitation, guaranteeing at least one debate between the vice presidential candidates.
“CBS Evening News” anchor Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan of “Face the Nation” will moderate the debate, according to the network.
Vance also indicated that he accepted an invite from CNN for a debate on Sept. 18, but there was no word from the Harris campaign as to whether Walz will accept that invitation.
The American people deserve as many debates as possible, which is why President Trump has challenged Kamala to three of them already. Not only do I accept the CBS debate on October 1st, I accept the CNN debate on September 18th as well. I look forward to seeing you at both! https://t.co/63FyI99dKU

A second VP debate seems unlikely, as in each of the past 10 presidential cycles, the running mates have debated a single time.
The presidential candidates – Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump – have agreed to a debate on Sept. 10 set to be hosted by ABC News.
There has been speculation that another debate could be held in Pennsylvania sometime in September with Harrisburg or Philadelphia as possible locales.
Fox News has proposed a debate between Harris and Trump to take place on Sept. 4, and NBC News is angling to air one on Sept. 25.
