The Pennsylvania State Troopers Association recently announced their endorsement for Superior Court Judge and State Supreme Court nominee David Wecht.
“As President of the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association I am privileged to inform you that our members have unanimously endorsed your candidacy for Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court,” stated Joseph Kovel, President of the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association.
“Your experience as Judge of Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas and as Judge of the Pennsylvania Superior Court are examples of your dedication to public service” Kovel went on to say.
Wecht said, “My vision is for a transparent & principled Supreme Court that recognizes, at its core, the values of honest, hard-working families,” Wecht responded. “I believe that it is also important for the justices to appreciate what it means to put on a uniform, and to protect and serve our communities.”
“I am humbled by the endorsement of our Commonwealth’s state troopers, and vow that I will take to heart the tremendous contributions made by the men and women of law enforcement, every day,” he continued.
“As we move forward toward Election Day on Tuesday November 3rd, I pledge to work hard, every day, on the campaign trail to earn the right to bring long-needed reforms to the highest court in our Commonwealth,” Wecht concluded.
Wecht is a Democratic nominee for one of the three open seats on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
