Where Have You Gone Joe Biden?

Did Murphy cancel on Veep or did White House abandon Murphy

LANGHORNE, Pa.– Despite reports last week from Politico that Vice President Joe Biden was scheduled to campaign for Congressman Patrick Murphy yesterday, any such campaign appearance was conspicuously absent from the Vice President’s public schedule.  Vice President Biden’s no show for Congressman Murphy was particularly notable in light of the fact that the Vice President traveled to the Philadelphia area to campaign for congressional candidate Bryan Lentz

“What’s unclear about the Vice Presidential no show,” said Fitzpatrick Campaign Manger Kyle Whatley, “is who exactly canceled on who.  It’s possible that despite his enthusiastic support for the Obama-Pelosi agenda, that White House has seen the poll numbers and is abandoning Patrick Murphy.  It’s also equally probable that Congressman Murphy is trying to distance himself from the Obama-Pelosi agenda that he has supported 97% of the time.

“In 2006, Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama campaigned for Patrick Murphy on numerous occasions.  In 2010, Patrick Murphy seems to be very reluctant to have either of them in Bucks County.”
