Williams Sentenced to 5 years

Former Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams was sentenced today to five years in prison on federal corruption and bribery charges.

According to the Inquirer, the five year sentence is the maximum Williams could have received.

Williams plead guilty to the charges earlier this year after first trying to fight the the case in court.

“I have made mistakes – mistakes of character and judgment. These are my mistakes and my mistakes alone,” Williams said in a statement according to the Inquirer.

  1. and losing the law license , rightfully so. the question is whether his miraculous upcoming 5 year transformation in jail will somehow convince the disciplinary board to reinstate him, as they often do for felon – lawyers…

  2. Just one small nagging question: if Seth Williams is guilty as charged (and he is, and then some), why aren’t the people who bribed him following him into prison? Where are the trials for every person who ever greased that sleazy palm?

  3. Love this picture of him.

“Hey Seth, how long you going to be in jail for!?”
(insert picture of him holding up 5 fingers)

  4. 5 years is a gift when a member of the PA Bar and highest law enforcer in the city blatantly sells his office for trips, furniture and meals at the Union League. Disgrace.

  5. Seth has been a pompous Asshole by virtue of his “I will prosecute you to the fullest extent” mantra as he was (for 7 years) being a “Pig The Never Flew Straight”…

It is a shame it’s “only” five (5) years, as he’s worthy of way more time…

Seth Williams persecuted an innocent priest (Monsignor Lynn) in the vendetta he had against the Catholic Faith.

He’s a real Asshole, who loved to act like Elliott Ness as he was taking bribes and violating the Public Trust, as the Philadelphia District Attorney.

    Justice was Served today!
