Murphy Announces New Military Healthcare Contract for Trevose Company

International SOS Assistance, Inc. has hired 50 new employees as a result of the new contract, under which they will provide healthcare services to U.S. troops overseas
(Trevose, PA) – Starting today, a Trevose-based company will begin providing healthcare services to nearly half a million military servicemembers and their families stationed around the globe, Pennsylvania Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-8th District) announced.
“Here in Bucks County, local companies are providing vital support services to keep U.S. service members and their families stationed overseas healthy and safe,” said Murphy.
International SOS Assistance, Inc. works in partnership with businesses, non-profit organizations and governments, including the U.S. military. Since 1998, International SOS has supported TRICARE in ensuring that active duty service members and their families receive the highest quality care, no matter where their work or travels take them outside the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
The local company recently won the major $270 million contract to provide healthcare services for TRICARE Overseas Program (TOP) beneficiaries overseas, including deployed personnel, travelers and retirees outside the continental United States. Services include beneficiary education and enrollment, claims processing, customer service, chronic care management and wellness. International SOS is expanding its global network of healthcare providers to support TOP beneficiaries.
As a result of the new contract, the company has created 50 new jobs at their TRICARE regional headquarters, located within the Americas corporate office in Trevose. Those positions include a new Chief Operating Officer and ten senior director level positions.
“International SOS is honored to be asked to continue to serve our military and their family members overseas in an expanded scope,” said Kelley Harar, Chief Operating Officer, TRICARE Overseas Program. “This program is the essence of what International SOS does best; providing quality international health care services on a global basis.”
