Pat Toomey Receives Endorsement of Philadelphia’s Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 Executive Board

Allentown – U.S. Senate candidate and former small business owner Pat Toomey received the endorsement of the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 Executive Board.  Philadelphia’s Fraternal Order of Police represents 14,600 active and retired officers of the Philadelphia Police and Sheriff’s Department.

The endorsement of the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 Executive Board follows announcements of support from Pennsylvania’s statewide Fraternal Order of Police, the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association, National Federation of Independent Businesses, the Pennsylvania Medical Society PAC and the American Medical Association PAC.

“I am proud and honored to receive the endorsement of Philadelphia’s Fraternal Order of Police.  It means a great deal to me that the men and women who the put their lives on the line everyday protecting our communities are voicing their support for my candidacy.  I will fight for policies that keep our streets safe, impose tough sentences for violent criminals, and support our police officers who risk their lives every day to protect us,” said Pat Toomey, candidate for U.S. Senate and former small business owner.

“We are endorsing Pat because he understands that law enforcement must have the tools it needs to protect America’s families and their communities. We’re confident that we’ll have a strong ally and advocate for my fellow officers with Pat Toomey in the U.S. Senate.  As a Congressman he fought to ensure officers were treated fairly and he will continue that fight as Pennsylvania’s next Senator,” said John McNesby, President of Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 5.
