PA-6: Costello Wins Election to Congress

CostelloPennsylvania’s 6th congressional district will stay in Republican hands.

The seat, which has been filled for the last six terms by retiring Rep. Jim Gerlach, has been won by Chester County Board of Commissioners Chair and GOP nominee Ryan Costello.

Costello’s Democratic opponent was Iraq War veteran Manan Trivedi. Trivedi ran against Gerlach as the Democratic nominee in 2010 and 2012 as well.

Unfortunately for Trivedi, the third time was not the charm.

The 6th district is rated R+2 by the Cook Political Report and represents parts of Berks, Chester, Lebanon and Montgomery Counties.
