Reader Poll: Which Guv Candidate Will Drop Out First?

democratic-donkeyWith Rob McCord’s announcement today, there are now eight declared candidates in the Democratic gubernatorial primary. With such a crowded field, it’s worth asking how long the race can stay so cluttered.

This is the largest field any incumbent has had to face in PA history and some are already speculating whether so many Democratic candidates taking shots at each other may hurt the party’s chances to unseat Governor Corbett next November.

By no means, however, is this field set in stone. For instance, Former Pa. Auditor General Jack Wagner is still considering a bid. There are still several months until the primary next spring and there is no guarantee all eight candidates will still be in the race by then.

So, we ask you the readers, which Democratic candidate is most likely to drop out first?

  1. Basile-
    LOL.

However, I think it’s only the republican leadership hoping that Corbett is the first to drop out so they can have a candidate that will get more than 35% of the vote. 🙂

  2. I really doubt Litz will drop out. Just never get close to the signatures required, unless she spends all day everyday getting them herself. Everyone else has the ability to get the signatures.

Hanger and Myers may drop out or drop down to LT if they cut a deal with one of the top tier candidates.

Wolf should drop out. He should just go and enjoy his money in the Caribbean, rather than blowing it on this race.

  3. Voted for Jo Ellen but I should have picked Little Ed. The egg on his face from touting Big Ed’s “endorsement” makes him an unserious candidate and no Democratic donors will want to cross Rendell.

  4. Jo Ellen Litz’s campaign website is pathetic to say the least. A clear indication of no financial resources, making for a laughable statewide bid for office. Her website reads, “Be the first person in your neck of Penns Woods to sport Litz for Governor apparel.” More like the only person to sport Litz for Governor apparel…
