In what certainly will be the first of many, U.S. Sen. Bob Casey Jr. and Republican challenger Dave McCormick both hit the airwaves with campaign ads this week.
Casey’s spot – entitled “Stench” – highlights the three-term Senator’s fight to pass the PACT Act to deliver for veterans across Pennsylvania. According to AdImpact, the campaign placed his first ad reservations yesterday, totaling $213,000.

McCormick’s 30-second spot – “Wrestling” – highlights the lessons learned from growing up wrestling in Pennsylvania. According to AdImpact, McCormick and the NRSC have reserved $659K so far with ads running through the week.

Both are fundraising off the ads.
Casey wrote that “With the Senate majority hinging on PA, getting our ads on the air is critical to fighting back and sharing my message with Pennsylvanians — but ads are expensive, so we need to step up our fundraising to keep them running.
“Without your grassroots support, we could miss the chance to reach crucial swing voters, and in a battleground race like this one, that could be the difference between winning and losing.”
McCormick’s clarion call says, “I am a girl dad, husband, job creator, combat veteran and seventh-generation Pennsylvanian who will deliver REAL results to spark America’s renewal.
But I can’t win this fight alone.
“Democrats only hold the Senate Majority by ONE SEAT and this is already being called one of the most competitive and most expensive Senate races in the country.

Dave McComick, i have mucj faith in you will do what you say, because me and my family are voting for you! If not i can be your wrost person to be against. Casey is no good! I was friends with his father s good man! But jis son and I was supposed to speak at an Organ Donor Family honoring event (Family Donor Medal)! He never joined me on the dasis but instead canceled and sent his brother Patrick in his place. Where we were speaking was in his hometown of Scranton!
