December 18th Playbook

The special election date is announced for the state House’s 190th District, while Pennsylvania’s Congressional delegation is expected to fall along party lines in the impeachment vote. Here is the Playbook. 

Where PA Pols Stand on Pending Impeachment Vote: See what members of Congress in the state plan to vote for impeachment and who is going to vote against it. 

HD190: Special Election Set for February 25: The special election is set to replace state Rep. Movita Johnson-Harrell (D-Philadelphia) who resigned after being charged with theft, perjury, tampering with public records along with other crimes.

Legislative Election Update: 

SD-15: State Sen. John DiSanto (R-Dauphin) announced that he is seeking another term in the state Senate. DiSanto was first elected to the state Senate in 2016 after besting incumbent Democratic state Sen. Rob Teplitz by 3.5 points. 

SD-13: Lancaster County Commissioner Craig Lehman announced that he is seeking the Democratic Party nomination for the seat held by state Sen. Scott Martin (R-Lancaster). Martin was first elected to the state Senate in 2016 after beating Democrat Gregory Paulson by 15 points. 

HD-155: State Rep. Danielle Friel-Otten (D-Chester) announced that she will seek another term in the state House. Otten was first elected to the seat in 2018 after defeating incumbent state Rep. Becky Corbin (R-Chester) by 9 points.

HD-3: Greg Hayes, CEO of North Coast Flight School, announced that he is seeking the Republican Party nomination for the seat held by state Rep. Ryan Bizzarro (D-Erie). Bizzarro ran unopposed in the most recent election.
