PA-9: Halvorson Releases Second Ad (Video)

Tea Party challenger Art Halvorson is ramping up his aggressive campaign against incumbent Rep. Bill Shuster’s (R-Briar) by releasing his second advertisement in a little more than a week.

“Public service has always been an important part of my life — be it to my country or my community,” Halvorson says in the ad as the camera focuses on pictures of himself in his Coast Guard uniform. “And no place is in greater need of public servants than in Congress.”

Halvorson is a staunch conservative who has campaigned on questions of incumbent Shuster’s conservative values.

“In order to restore the American Dream, we need leaders who care more about the next generation than the next election,” Halvorson says while footage shows him playing with his children.

“I’m Art Halvorson and I approve this message because I’ll be honored to serve you in Congress to help restore that dream.”

The ad finishes with a narrator saying, “Vote for conservative change. Republican Art Halvorson for Congress.”

A heavy emphasis on the “conservative,” no doubt.

  1. Shuster works hard for the lobbyists and crony capitalists. Art will represent the values of our district and will not be a career politician.

  2. Halvorson is a carpet bagging fraud. Shuster has worked hard for the people of the 9th district and deserves reelection.

  3. Let’s hope that Shuster’s constituents are smart enough to realize he has done nothing for them, PA, or this country!
Halverson is clearly a better choice and that area need a big change not someone who walked into the job because of their daddy!
