Pawlowski to Resign

Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski will reportedly resign his position today after being found guilty on federal corruption charges.

A source told the Morning Call that Pawlowski will resign following his conviction on 47 felony counts from the federal indictment.  Allentown’s home rule charter requires the Mayor to step down if found

Pawlowski’s resignation means Allentown City Council President Roger MacLean will serve as acting mayor.

The home rule charter requires the city council to pick an interim mayor from the same party as Pawlowski within 30 days.  That person would serve until the municipal elections in 2019.

Pawlowski was re-elected in 2017 despite facing the federal charges and a 2016 City Council vote of no confidence.

The mayor was missing all these years?

  2. When is Dauphin County Dems chair Rogette Harris going to resign? She was literally running an eBay/Etsy business out of the main Capitol! Charging citizens for postage on her packages. Also using the color copier for campaign flyers! People went to jail for this years ago! Where is the outrage- why protect her?? Looking at you Patty Kim!

  3. When will known pedder and recent drug possession arrested Democratic State Committeeman Cole Goodman do the same?
