Jim Kenney isn’t wasting any time.
Today, just hours after winning last night’s election, Kenney held a press conference in a South Philly school.
Among his announcements was the revelation that he is creating a website for his transition team: kenneyforphiladelphia.com.
“Our transition period will be focused on turning ideas into actionable policy as well as hiring the best possible people to carry out those policies,” Kenney stated. “These policies will be based on ideas collected from every neighborhood and, to aid us in collecting those ideas, we are launching kenneyforphiladelphia.com.”
“I said last night that to meet our city’s greatest challenges we will all have to come together. That starts today. I invite Philadelphians to share their ideas about how we can create a better city for everyone to live in.”
The Mayor-Elect will continue his early start by revealing his transition committee tomorrow.
