Shapiro Presents New Code of Conduct (VIDEO)

You may not have noticed, but Kathleen Kane’s tenure as Attorney General was plagued by scandal.

So it’s incumbent on the new AG Josh Shapiro to “clean up” the office.

In that vein, he introduced his Chief Integrity Officer Eric Fillman in a new video. The video features Shapiro signing a poster-sized copy of a new Code of Conduct.

“The people of Pennsylvania should never again have to doubt the integrity of this office,” Shapiro states. “This code is a promise I’m making to you and a promise every member of this office is making to one another – to uphold the highest standard of integrity and ensure our justice system works for all.”

“This code reflects a basic principle and in signing it I join over 800 members of this office in recommitting ourselves to this truth: Public service is a public trust,” he concludes.

Shapiro then signs and dates the poster (although I’m not sure if a prop counts the same as a legal document).

Well, he’s still has to get past all the ongoing FBI investigations and wiretaps.

  2. Josh you are the light in the darkness of today!! We have much faith in you and your abilities. Pennsylvanians are fortunate to have you in this office.

  3. You could call him an empty suit, but that would be an insult to Seth Williams.

This guy is an invisible suit. His code lists no consequences and consists entirely of well-established laws and regulations. He could have shown up with a speed limit sign and accomplished the same thing.

  4. Someone call his staff he comes off as a desperate phony. Just do the job. Before they accuse him of campaigning on state time like you did at Penn Crime Commission.
