GQR Poll: Clinton, Toomey Lead

GQR PollAnother survey was released today showing Hillary Clinton leading the presidential race and Pat Toomey ahead in his quest for a second term.

This poll was conducted by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, in conjunction with the Women’s Voices Women’s Action Fund and Democracy Corps. So keep in mind these are left-leaning groups.

GQR surveyed a number of swing states for the presidential contest, including Pennsylvania.

Hillary Clinton received 45% against Donald Trump’s 36%. Meanwhile, Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson was able to pick up 13%.

As for the Senate race, Toomey got 46% while Democratic nominee Katie McGinty received 38%. It is likely not a great sign that a series of polls that favored Clinton show McGinty behind by eight points.

Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research surveyed 300 likely Pennsylvania voters from June 11th to 20th. The margin of error is +/- 5.66%.

  40. I think it is unlikely if Clinton wins McGinty won’t be carried over as well. Right now she is less known than Tommey and that is hurting her. Anyway the aggregate on RCP is 44.5-39.5 Toomey. Not great this far out for an incumbent Senator. This poll was not included in that aggregate.

  41. Poll after poll has the well oiled Toomey campaign machine rolling ahead of the stumbling McGinty effort. I still think the misstep over her claim to be the first in her family to go to college was impactful for McGinty. Also, the Andrea Mitchell assessment of McGinty’s campaign being weak also made a mark in this race. However, Toomey’s campaign is well run and highly effective.
