The campaign of State Rep. Steve Santarsiero has released an internal poll showing them ahead in the PA-8 Democratic primary.
According to Emily Cahn of Roll Call, the survey shows Santarsiero leading his opponent Shaughnessy Naughton 36% to 21%.
Additionally, 35% of the electorate is familiar with Santarsiero while 28% know of Naughton.
This survey was commissioned by the Santarsiero campaign, though, so keep that in mind when considering the results.
PoliticsPA reached out to the Naughton campaign for comment.
“It’s a wide open race, Shaughnessy is building momentum and will win,” spokesman Erik Polyak said.
Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research conducted the poll by surveying 401 likely Democratic primary voters through live calls from October 20th to 22nd. The margin of error is +/- 4.9%.
The 8th district consists of all of Bucks County and parts of upper Montco. Incumbent GOP Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick is retiring. State Rep. Scott Petri and former Bucks County Commissioner Andrew Warren are running in the GOP primary.

What poll? Of their own staff workers?
Stuff like this. Like Santarsiero would’ve released it if it showed him trailing Naughton by 15.
Releasing an internal poll. First sign of weakness.
