Reader Poll: McGinty or Toomey?

McGinty-ToomeyLast Tuesday, Pennsylvania’s voters chose incumbent Pat Toomey and Katie McGinty as the Republican and Democratic nominees.

As a result, this is the perfect time to run our first reader survey on the contest.

Just like the presidential contest, we’re going to be doing periodic polls of this race to see how (or if) it changes.

So as the month of May begins, we ask who will prevail in the Senate race.

If the PA Senate Race Was Held Today, Who Would You Vote For?

  • Katie McGinty (52%)
  • Pat Toomey (48%)

Total Voters: 6,505

  1. Mrs. SpongeBob-

You get the post of the day.

I just hope you aren’t some 10 year old child bride he purchased or kidnapped.

  2. Awwww David is cranky. Maybe he needs a nap. I guess old age has caught up to you. That’s ok. You have fun playing wth Brett and his personality disorder while the grown ups influence the real politics. Go back to playing with your teddy bear Anthony. Or is that Super Anthony? I am sure we will find plenty more to argue about soon old timer.

  3. LOL @ Mrs. Bob!!!

Wonderful work. I’m sure the real Spongey is an unmarried loser.

  4. Gentlemen,

I must again apologize for the behavior of my husband. he has not been himself lately. Ever since the Senate failed to remove AG Kane, he has been coming unglued. Not sure why. Maybe he has a thing for her … I don’t know. But he definitely has a strange obsession with Hahaha and David. You both should get restraining orders.

Please lay off him a little bit – as his mental health is very much in jeopardy.

    Thank you. Godspeed.

  5. SpongeBob

You seem to be projecting here. Clearly, Kane must have rejected your advances (or your unfulfilled desires toward her young children).

I’ve been quite clear about Sestak’s Iraq funding vote, the $25 million he’s wasted, the damage he’s done to the party, and his mistreatment of his staff. How many reasons do I need?

Unlike you, I don’t publish his home address (either one). I post under my own identity, not hiding in the electronic bushes like you.

You claim to have contacted my customers to bad mouth me (yet, I’ve seen no evidence of it or a word of feedback).

I do have a few customers behind on paying me (so, technically you might not consider them clients). How about if I give you their contact info so you can help me collect. Then, when they are “official” customers, you can start pretending to harass them too.

You’ve been making threats about this sh*t for six months now, and I’ve got more customers than two years ago.

If everyone knew who you really were, they would realize that you are a complete fraud/failure/nobody/crank with a dubious agenda.

Keep hiding in the dark with the other ball-less cockroaches.

  6. That song never gets old. Great job amending the lyrics to fit the pathetic Repervlican troll who lives under our PPA bridge.

  7. And on Cue Brett adds his felon ridden comments. Hey man if it makes you feel better to post the little song, have at it. Since you have been to prison and all and I have you know…not, I think you deserve to let out some of your inner sadness.

  8. Cue the music again …

Are you ready kids? “Aye Aye Captain”
I can’t hear you! “AYE AYE CAPTAIN”
    Oohh…
Who lives on his knees and drinks lots of TEA?
    “SpongeBob RETARD”
Stupid and yellow and troll-like is he!
    “SpongeBob RETARD”
If Repervlican nonsense be something you wish,
    “SpongeBob RETARD”
Then drop to your knees and suck like a fish!
    “SpongeBob RETARD”
    READY?
    “SpongeBob RETARD”
    “SpongeBob RETARD”
    “SpongeBob RETARD”
SPONGEBOB RETARD !! AH AHH AHH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHH…

  9. David, I like how you rewrite facts. No where did I take credit, in fact multiple times I said otherwise. You accuse me of being a stalker but yet the same could be said of you and Sestak. Your need to attack him at every turn reminds me of me whenever a Kane article is published. I know why I hate Kane, tell us why you truly hate Sestak. Did he rebuff your advances? Maybe he doesn’t like Superman the way you do. Let it go man. I will go back to being right almost all of the time while you go back to be a 50 plus something political hack that needs a hug.

  10. SpongeBob-

Oh, so now you’ve switched from taking credit to “may have hurt him just slightly”. Wow. “may” and “slightly”. I’m quaking in my boots.
The reality (for those of you not riding on unicorns or having sex with them) is that Jared’s campaign had more money and was endorsed by the ward leaders/committee, so he was on all the sample ballots. How powerful is it to be on the sample ballots? Ask Bill Golderer who lost his primary in the 7th by 50 points, despite having 5 to 10 times as much money.
There is ZERO question that if Cohen’s name had been on sample ballots that he would have won.

You “sent emails directly to the campaigns of a few others”? Sounds like they ignored you as a crank. What did you send them?

I think this may be a copy of one of them:

“Hi. I live in a pineapple under the sea, but Dave Diano insulted my intelligence on a blog last summer. I’m still crying about it, so I’m saying he hates handicapped kids, for pointing out that I’m stupid. — SpongeBob”

Thanks for exposing yourself as a fool who isn’t actually involved in politics, campaigns, government (and doubtfully software). You’ve also made it clear that your only interest/power is to stalk me and harass people, like the creepy pervert we’ve all come to realize you are.

  11. LOL … The pathetic stalker troll waits til the results are in to say who he “focused” on. OMG – he is sooooooo dumb.

DD – Please make it stop!! Just stop engaging him. He is a moronic ass-clown RETARD troll.

    BTW – Unsanctioned R(etard) = SpongeBob

  12. David, no one including me is trying to take credit for Cohen’s loss. Simply saying I believe that a group of concerned citizens voicing their concern over his support of you may have helped just a little. The only person I focused on was Cohen. I sent emails directly to the campaigns of a few others but Cohen was the only focus of getting others involved. I am not taking credit for anything. Simply saying that his association with you may have hurt him just slightly. If you don’t think so ask them and then blast me here for it.

  13. SpongeBob-

I think it’s hysterical that you are trying to take credit for Jared’s win and Cohen’s loss. Jared’s primary attack on Cohen had to do with per diems and wasteful expenses. But, mostly it came down to man power and hustle (and ward leaders).

Good software/data is critical to making campaigns viable or giving them an edge, but it doesn’t affect endorsements, staffing, messaging, popularity, man power, poll workers, lawnsigns, etc.

But, I keep forgetting that you don’t know anything about software.

    Unsanctioned R-

Disappointed in you falling for SpongeBob’s horsesh*t that he had any effect on the outcome. Unless he was giving Cohen’s campaign manager bad strategic advice. Last cycle, Cohen won by 158 against 1st time candidate. This time, turnout was double, with a lot of new and younger voters in the mix. I’m sure SpongeBob will try to take credit for the turnout next.

According to his previous boasts, he made attacks on all my clients, but attributes the foregone conclusion of this one race to those (imaginary) attacks, leaving out the apparent failures of said attacks elsewhere.

What’s his next trick? Taking credit for the sun rising?

The truth is that SpongeBob has no clients nor influence nor credentials of any kind. He’s an anonymous poster who makes vague predictions like: X will have bad news or “tough time”.
Until he puts his real name with his predictions/claims, they aren’t worth the elections used to display them.

  14. The commenter using “SpongeBob” and “grassroots activist” does not speak for the GOP. He is not employed by the GOP. We are, quite frankly, sickened by him just like you here seem to be.

    Thank you for your time.

  16. Look everyone Brett is here to add scintillating commentary. If we are lucky we will see all his personalities show up on this thread. Please enrich our minds Bret….errrr HaHaHa

  17. Hey look. The RETARD has yet another new screen-name: “grassroots activist” … LMAO …. Poor thing.

Mrs. SpongeBob may have to intervene again ….

  18. HaHaHa = mindless moron. Is your comment the best you can do? Go back to elementary school.

  19. Unsanctioned R, Good Point. I am not even looking for a victory lap, I just chuckle when he can claim so much influence and act as if he is the only person who can affect the outcome of a race. Most important for me is that even if it influenced a handful of voters, his words on here hurt a candidate so maybe his other “fans” that he describe on the site might think twice when he spouts off his anti-kid, cop and woman posts.

  20. Bob, take the victory lap, but I can’t chastise David for being a zealous advocate for his client. And not every client can win. Mine don’t either. Hard to believe, I know.

  21. It’s funny though I mentioned Cohen previously, posted links to his fec filing showing purchasing your Voterweb, told you he was going to have issues and you mocked my words as having no impact and yet here he sits having lost after being in office forever and you want to act like there isn’t even the slightest chance that there was an impact other than some other events. I called him out, you laughed, he lost. But hey at least you have your other locked up candidates that you hide behind. Good Luck.

  22. David, thanks for confirming that Superman had no balls. As usual nothing but a blowhard.

  23. Cruz quit, so now:

    Trump-Toomey 2016

Poor Toomey. First he loses his buddy Sestak. Now, Cruz.

  24. SpongeBob-

As, I said, nobody on the Cohen campaign said a peep to me, nor was this reported in the media as a story, let alone the cause of Jared’s victory, as you are claiming.

    http://www.phillymag.com/citified/2016/03/31/mark-cohen-sues-jared-solomon-libel/

I think flyers like this, distributed by Jared’s campaign are the cause. BTW, it’s you (an adult, not a kid) with your disabilities that I don’t like. But, you are too disabled to get it right.

I couldn’t give two f*cks about Jared or anything he would say. I met him years ago when he worked for Sestak, and wouldn’t waste spit on him if he was on fire, let alone talk to him.

You seem to know who my candidates are from your “research”. I had three wins in Philly districts that are guaranteed Dem wins (2 to 1 or better registration) in the Fall. So, no chance of them losing.

  25. I think for Senator Pat Toomey should win reelection because for he can fix Washington, D.C. and create new jobs and bring them to Pennsylvania.

  26. David, notice how Indaid to ask the campaign and not take my word for it. I understand your not trusting what I say. That’s fine. I wonder if you have the balls to ask and then post here the response. My guess is no. I look forward to seeing how your supported candidates do. Why not post a list here so we can see how they do in the general.

  27. SpongeBob-

I never heard a peep about any letter writing campaign, from either campaign nor any media reports about the race. You are hardly a credible source for anything.

There were plenty of forces mounted against Cohen that even my system couldn’t overcome. Last cycle, Brian Sims was going around telling people that Cohen was senile. The campaign relied mostly on VAN/VoteBuilder, and used mine mostly for lookups outside the district during the petition challenge. Jared had A LOT of bad petition signatures outside the district that needed confirmation, and he came close to getting knocked off the ballot.

But, a win/loss that size is due to money, campaigning, messaging, endorsements, etc.

I was happy with my upset wins against endorsed and incumbent candidates, as well as helping some write-in candidates who wouldn’t have otherwise gotten on the ballot for November. Also, the retention of an incumbent against a VERY tough challenger in a VERY close win. Those customers were grateful for my support and thanked me for my contribution of data and advice to their victory.

How many candidates do you have a clients? (blow-jobs don’t count)

  28. I would not necessarily be voting for McGinty as voting against Toomey… She is a lightweight but at least she is not Toomey…that’s about all she has going for her.

  29. Brett, you and you multiple personalities missed me. That’s nice….

  30. David, If I were being stalker like I would have asked you if Jackie or Steven feel the same way about Sestak as you. instead, I simply commented that you can’t let it go.
Oh, I saw that Cohen lost in Philly. The same person who was your customer. You should ask him about the letter writing campaign done about him supporting people who hate kids with disabilities. Ask Solomon if it helped him that there was a group of people reminding voters of what affiliation to you brings them. I wonder if you are man enough to ask him and them come here and tell your “fans “what his people tell you……

  31. Diano’s Dungeon-

The fumigation costs would make Sestak’s place prohibitively expensive.

Also, if you “looked it up”, you would see my parents don’t have a basement.

  32. DD – Don’t fall for it. he posts all day, every day. Just using other screen-names (dozens of them … trust me — I know FOR SURE).

He is now using “SpongeBob” to draw you out and pay attention to him.

DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS (just call them names).

  33. After Sestak sells his home, perhaps Diano will move out of his parent’s basement (look it up) and into the vacated Sestak abode.

  34. Len-

Sestak’s still running around the state on his Defeat Tour 2.0

Tomorrow he’s doing “Coffee with Joe” with the Columbia county Dems. During his 2010 campaign, he did coffee event with the Westmoreland Dems (and made them buy their own coffee, which pissed them off).

Joe should be packing up his house and fixing it up to sell. It has lost value since he bought it (and not just because it stinks of failure).

Doesn’t he want to spend time with his family? (Do they want to spend time with him?)

    Jessica Myers-

I can’t even figure out if you are a girl or a dude fake posting.

    SpongeBob-

Haven’t seen you in weeks. (You haven’t been missed.) Thought you said you were giving up posting here (but knew you really weren’t).

You’re more of a creepy, internet stalker type, who eventually can’t resist jumping in with an idiotic comment.

  35. David acts like a jilted lover when it comes to Sestak. And then Brett needs to jump in with all 80 personas to tack on it’s thoughts. If you removed those 2 there would be like 10 people who post comments here I think.

  36. Diano – – Your obsession with Sestak is pathological.

    Enough.

  37. Diano you are not well mentally. You still kick Sestak, even after he lost.

  38. Toomey is a Garden Gnome.

McGinty (with Clinton atop ticket) will mow him down.

  39. Too few people understand how deeply right wing Toomey is because he does his damage so quietly, without the flamboyance of a Ted Cruz. But he’s just as damaging. Hopefully McGinty will get that message out before it’s too late.

  40. The question is interesting:
“If the PA Senate Race Was Held Today, Who Would You Vote For?”

    TODAY being the operative word.

I’m sure Sestak hit the button for Toomey.

But, in November, Sestak won’t be able to vote for Toomey, because he’ll have sold his PA house and be voting in Virginia.
