Shaughnessy Naughton final pre-primary fundraising total is in.
PoliticsPA has learned that Naughton raised $384,000 during the period of January 1st to April 6th of this year. No funds were contributed or loaned by the candidate.
If this top-line numbers hold, Santarsiero will have outraised her this quarter, the first time the State Rep. has done so since Q1 of 2015. Naughton won the three in between.
The campaign reported 5,900 individual contributors so far with an average donation this quarter of $76. Altogether, Naughton has raised $1.3 million since March 2015.
Naughton is running against State Rep. Steve Santarsiero in the Democratic primary.
The 8th Congressional District represents all of Bucks County as well as parts of upper Montgomery County.

Steve Santarsiero is a coward. He was elected to make tough votes, not run away from them during an election season. No one can succeed when their actions are cowardly in regards to tough votes…. oh wait….. that’s right….. I forgot about President Obama’s sterling record of cowardliness on tough votes. With that precedence, it looks like Steve is going to be the next President.
