After serving about eight months in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, former Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane was released from jail Wednesday morning around 8:20 a.m., the AP reports.
While exiting the facility, she told the press that she was “grateful” when she was asked how she felt.

Kane was convicted and sentenced on perjury and other charges in 2016 relating to abusing power of the AG office in an attempt to smear former state prosecutor Frank Fina, a political enemy. She resigned from her position as AG after her conviction.
