Pat Toomey holds a solid lead.
At least that’s according to the new Quinnipiac Poll, which has the incumbent GOP Senator at 50% while Democratic nominee Katie McGinty sits at 42%.
Last month, Quinnipiac showed Toomey with a one-point advantage.
So far, Quinnipiac has only released a limited set of crosstabs.
McGinty is ahead with Democrats, 71% to 21%, while Toomey leads all other categories.
Toomey’s advantages are as follows: Republicans (87/9), whites without a college degree (60/30), men (56/40), whites with a college degree (50/46), Independents (47/43) and women (45/44).
In just the past week, PPP has the race at McGinty +2, F&M McGinty +6 and Monmouth tied. As a result, it’s difficult to get a handle on where this contest stands.
The Quinnipiac University Poll surveyed 535 likely Pennsylvania voters from September 27th to October 2nd using live interviews from landlines and cell phones. The margin of error is +/- 4.2%.

This poll is reflecting the fact that Toomey is starting to move the numbers more in his favor as McGinty’s lackluster campaign style wears itself out. Toomey has been superior in his campaign style and message. McGinty from the start was bogged down with dull convention speech and getting tripped up boasting about being the first one in her family to go to college when she was not. Then Andrea Mitchell described her as a weak candidate. I say Toomey by 3% when all is said and done in November.

My neighbor is Pavel Wojaholszniak. He is for McGinty. Now that’s a Pole I can trust because he found my dog in the alley and brought him home.
Shady Katie’s hands are too greasy from being greased by bribes all these years, to be able to hang onto Hillary’s coattails.
This is what happens when you have these closed primaries – you get machine-selected candidates with no hope of winning in the fall. Either Sestak or Fetterman would be mopping the floor with Pat For Growth by now. Shady Katie hasn’t even MENTIONED the Club once in her ads.
I support completely unqualified Democrats who use public offices as career stepping stones, like Kathleen Kane, Hillary Clinton, and Katie McGinty. The more corrupt, the better.
