Reader Poll: Fleck was the Biggest Upset

mike-fleckWith the excitement of election day over, we decided to ask our readers what you felt the biggest upset of the primary was.

Apparently, only a pair of results came as a surprise as over eighty percent of the submissions went to the top two vote-getters.

The winner, for lack of a better term, was State Rep. Mike Fleck who saw his vote total eclipsed by write-ins. It is still unclear, though, whether enough of those write-in votes are valid and will cost Rep. Fleck his seat.

380 readers nonetheless feel this was Tuesday’s biggest upset.

Finishing second was State Rep. Brendan Boyle’s victory over former Congresswoman (and Clinton in-law) Marjorie Margolies. 215 voted that the most shocking result of the night.

Art Haywood’s defeat of indicted Sen. LeAnna Washington received 58 votes, just ahead of the 56 people who choose State Rep. Mark Cohen prevailing over challenger Jared Solomon.

Finally, just 26 readers were surprised by the re-nomination of State Rep. Margo Davidson.

The full results are included below:
