Poll: Casey Leads Smith Despite Tepid Numbers

In the first head-to-head poll since the primary last month, Bob Casey boasts a solid lead over Republican opponent Tom Smith: 49 to 33 percent. But Casey’s approval leaves room for growth. Also: Kane leads Freed for AG, and the first poll numbers in the Auditor and Treasurer races.

Poll: Obama 50, Romney 42 in PA

President Obama is looking solid in Pennsylvania according to the latest survey by Public Policy Polling. He leads the former Massachusetts Governor 50 to 42, a 1 point boost from the firm’s March survey. And former Guv Tom Ridge gives Romney the biggest VP boost.

Poll: Obama 47, Romney 39

Barack Obama’s lead in Pennsylvania has grown over the past month, a poll released today by Quinnipiac indicates. The results reflect a 5 point swing in the President’s favor since Q-Pac’s poll in early April which showed him within the margin of error, 45 percent to 42 for Romney.
